Financial Leadership for Climate Action: A CFO Roundtable
The criticality of the CFO role to corporate sustainability success
On July 22, The Climate Board held a virtual roundtable event that brought together leading CFOs to discuss insights, concerns, successes, and challenges to the corporate climate transition. A total of 13 CFOs and organizational leaders convened from a diverse set of industries, including transportation, infrastructure, hospitality, real estate, agriculture, water and hygiene, biotechnology, and renewable energy.
The session began with an opening presentation by The Climate Board on the role of the CFO vis-à-vis sustainability, followed by remarks from guest speakers Annette Nazareth, Chair of the Board of the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) and Karan Chopra, COO of Cervest.
