Experience & Background
Rob Glen brings to The Climate Board an exceptional combination of experience in strategy, finance, policy, communications and business development earned over a career spanning the media, Wall Street and industry analysis and advisory. Rob is currently founder of Acanthus Climate Ventures, a strategy advisory firm, and Senior Advisor, Innovation Commercialization, at the Uptime Institute with a focus on datacenter sustainability and resiliency. He is credited with playing a leading role over a thirteen year span in growing BloombergNEF from a small, London-based start-up to its current status as one of the world's preeminent providers of data, models and analyst insight to companies, investors and other institutional participants in the low-carbon transition. These successful experiences drew heavily from prior careers in finance - notably his more than 14 years as an investment banker, strategist and lobbyist with the Prudential Insurance Company of America – and media, in which he served as both a policy journalist and nationally syndicated opinion columnist based in Washington, DC. His work has appeared in more than 100 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada as well as the Economist and National Journal.
